This ring is made entirely from a casting of a single paper birch twig looped back upon itself.
Drawn to more substantial ring profiles? This is the perfect ring for you.
NATURAL HISTORY
Betula papyrifera
Paper birch, also called white birch, is a beautiful tree native to northern North America. It is often the first tree to grow in areas disturbed by wildfire, avalanche and windthrow. Moose consume the bark as food in winter and it is a host plant for many butterflies.
METAPHOR
New beginnings and resilience. The feeling of sunlight coming through yellow leaves in October.
GIFTING
All Thicket rings have the option to be given as a gift since knowing someone's ring size and which finger they'd like to wear a given ring on can be tricky! Place your order for the ring choosing the "give as a gift" option in the size menu and you'll receive a beautiful cardstock card specifying the gifted piece, along with an adjustable ring sizer.
Please note that this ring - because of the method of fabrication from a single twig - is available up to size 8.
